Hi, I am Bailey, the official Black Lab of Headwaters Trails. My buddy the Trail Master and I have been hiking these trails since I was born. Well, he’s been hiking them since way before I was born, but that’s another story.
We have all kinds of friends that visit us – sometimes they ride bikes, sometimes horses. Sometimes they’re on snowshoes, and sometimes they’re riding really fast sleds!
The ones that make it all the way to the top of Bald Mountain have a really special treat – a 270 degree view of the Catskills – even when the leaves are on the trees!
Speaking of treats – Behind the scenes, it’s not all fun and games and treats, you know. Trail maintenance takes a lot of time and resources (and sometimes even cuts into my play time!).
I don’t often think about what it takes for the Trail Master, GSAT, volunteers and supporters to maintain this for me, but not too long ago, the Trail Master said to me, “You know something Buddy? We are fortunate to have people who share our dreams.” And I wondered who they were.
